About Skizzy Mars

Rapper Skizzy Mars uses his ear for melody to make breezy and confident hip-hop with a poppy flare. • The NYC native attended a fancy private high school and originally dreamed of being a sportscaster. He dropped out of Union College when his music career took off. • He first earned buzz with his 2011 track “Douchebag,” a self-deprecating ode to himself influenced by Kid Cudi and Kanye West. • The success of “Douchebag” led to opening slots for G-Eazy, Logic, and Ty Dolla $ign. • Skizzy’s 2015 debut EP, The Red Balloon Project, went Top 5 on the iTunes hip-hop chart. • Following the dark and introspective 2018 EP are you OK?, Skizzy returned in 2019 with his sophomore album, Free Skizzy Mars, a more uplifting collection of songs written after the rapper underwent therapy and entered treatment for addiction.
