Brimstone Coven

Retrofitted stoner metal/doom metal quartet Brimstone Coven were formed by guitarist/songwriter Corey Roth in early 2011. Roth was joined by bassist Andrew D'Cagna, drummer Justin Wood, and vocalist John Williams, and they set about creating a heavy, backward-looking metal sound. The band's music first appeared with a self-released EP in 2012, followed by a second self-released album, II, in 2013. While they worked on the writing and recording of third album III, Brimstone Coven were picked up by long-running heavy music label Metal Blade Records, which released a self-titled album in 2014 that collected both their EP and II in remastered form, with new artwork. ~ Fred Thomas
