About The Boy Least Likely To

Drawing heavily from '80s indie acts such as Orange Juice and Aztec Camera as well as ubiquitous '90s twee pioneers Belle and Sebastian, the British duo the Boy Least Likely To continues in the tradition of heavily orchestrated indie pop. The duo, consisting of composer Pete Hobbs and singer Jof Owens, released a series of 7-inches on their own Too Young To Die label before their debut album, THE BEST PARTY EVER, made Pitchfork's Top 50 Albums in 2005. Despite their limited output and relative obscurity, Boy Least Likely To was picked by James Blunt to open for his 2006 North American tour.
