In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was mesmerized by the jazzy funk song on “Sesame Street“ with overlapping voices counting from 1 to 12 as an animated pinball rolling through a Rube Goldberg machine. I later learned it was sung by The Pointer Sisters. Cooler than anything on MTV!
