About The Lords of Altamont
California-based garage rock revivalists The Lords of Altamont formed out of the demise of vocalist Jake "Preacher" Cavaliere's prior band, the Bomboras (though he was also previously a member of about five other notable bands). Boasting various members throughout their existence, by 2005 the Lords were comprised of Cavaliere (also on organ), Spencer "The Dealer" Robinson (bass), Dave James aka "Sir Lord Baltimore" (guitar/vocals), Shawn "Sonic" Medina (guitar, also of Ladykillers), and Thom Sullivan aka "Baron Von Ludwig" (drums). Their first album was 2002's full-length To Hell with the Lords of Altamont. Signing with Gearhead in the fall of 2005, Lords Have Mercy was issued that November in the United States; Fargo also released the album in Europe. A month-long European tour followed in February 2006 before the guys headed to Austin for South by Southwest. ~ Corey Apar
