In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. In 1998, my family and I moved from Nakuru, Kenya to the far southeast side of Chicago IL U.S.A. Only 4 years old at the time I could not speak english . My earliest memory of music was hearing my father play the Djebe at Palmer Park. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Bob Marley & The Wailers, Legend – The Best of Bob Marley & The Wailers (2002 Edition) Lauryn Hill, The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill Various Artists, Chant Down Babylon (Remixes) [feat. Bob Marley] I love all 3 of these albums equally because I discovered them at a very monumental stage in my life. The moment decided that I would be a musician. These albums made me feel like I had a voice for my people. At 8 years old, I found my purpose. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Chat Chat” This song here represents what it feels like to believe in yourself. I love it because when wrote it, I was on a lunch break at work. I stayed on break an extra 10 minutes over my break time just to finish the hook and the first verse. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My most memorable moment in music so far was probably meeting and opening up a concert for Wyclef Jean in April of 2018. There was an electric feel in the atmosphere. The energy was high, and he told me had star potential. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I used to be obsessed with becoming one of the most famous musicians of all time. Now, I just want to inspire the people I'm meant to inspire. I will continue to tour, and record albums probably for as long as I'm alive.
