Dutch heavy metal band Impact consisted of vocalist Thierry Plisson, guitarist Simon Buik, bassist Hans Rappard, and drummer Rob Struik, and recorded two nondescript albums in 1982's Never Too Young to Rock and 1987's The Flag. The first was inspired by the rawness of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal, while the second found the group -- now featuring guitarist Peter Magnee, bassist Rob Schoof, and drummer Ed Warby (later of Ayreon) -- more polished and leaning toward the hard rock mainstream, but neither had much of an impact beyond underground heavy metal circles. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
