In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. The first time I ever sang on stage was in the second grade with my older sister Jan. I sang the entire song with my eyes closed. As scared as I was, performing grew to be my favorite thing in the entire world. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Beyoncé, RENAISSANCE Janelle Monáe, The ArchAndroid (Deluxe) Mary J. Blige, My Life Bonus Track Version I chose Mary because that album was and is the blueprint for RnB/Soul. I chose Beyonce because she changed history with this album. I chose Janelle because she was ahead of her time and still is. All three women are trendsetters and trailblazers. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Pity Party” Pity Party is special because I didn't believe anyone would like it but me. Turns out, it's a favorite of a lot of people I know. Something so simple won many people over.
