Not to be confused with Swedish metal band Lord Belial, the short-lived black metal outfit Belial hails from Finland and was formed by vocalist/guitarist Sarno Antilla, bassist Jani Lehtosaari, and drummer Reima Kellokoski in 1991. The band was short-lived, and their work, including the Wisdom of Darkness EP and the Gods of the Pit and Aftertaste mini-CDs, was hardly influential, but after their breakup in 1994, all three members would put in time with Finnish black metal institution Impaled Nazarene. ~ Eduardo Rivadavia
