About Emma Rowley

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember sitting on my great-grandmother Emma's living room floor as a little girl and playing her music box over and over. It was shaped like a piano and played "Memory" from the musical Cats. It is now one of my most cherished possessions. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Henry Jamison, The Wilds Lights, Little Machines (Deluxe Version) S. Carey, Hundred Acres "Little Machines" quite literally changed the trajectory of my career, the "Hundred Acres" record found me at the exact moment I needed it, and I swear the lyrics on "The Wilds" have changed my brain chemistry. I could spin these albums forever. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Orange” "Orange" is the most vulnerable song I've released and it thrills me that the overall message is such an empowering one. Writing this song helped me put to rest the turbulence of my late teens/early 20s and step into the woman I am today. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? My career actually began in musical theater. Turning 13 while making my Broadway debut is a moment I will never forget. Having a room full of such world-renowned talent sing you "happy birthday" is priceless. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I'm just so grateful for the ability to reach people around the world every day online with songs I wrote and recorded from my house. I've always been one to shoot for the moon but doing what I love so I can love what I do spells success in my book.
