Dave Attell

About Dave Attell

East Coast native and award-winning comedian Dave Attell practices a raunchy, old-school brand of standup reminiscent of Richard Pryor and Sam Kinison. After graduating from NYU, the self-described "joke comic" quit his day job and began to pursue comedy. He landed a job writing and performing for Saturday Night Live and began appearing on shows like Everybody Loves Raymond and Late Night With Conan O'Brien. This success earned him a recurring guest spot on The Daily Show With John Stewart and a relationship with Comedy Central that would eventually grant him his own show. Insomniac With Dave Attell premiered in 2000 and has since become one the network's biggest hits, spawning fan clubs, imitators, four successful seasons, and the eventual release of a DVD. Attell released a live standup record, Skanks for the Memories in February 2003. ~ James Christopher Monger
