Decibel-loving, Brooklyn-based garage punk trio Call of the Wild lean hard on the spikier side of the genre, channeling the primal ferocity of Motörhead and Earth A.D.-era Misfits, capably fusing together the melodic cadence of punk and the relentless crush of thrash metal. Formed in 2011 by guitarist Johnny Coolati, bassist Max Peebles, and ex-Awesome Color drummer Allison Busch, the band released its full-length studio debut, the appropriately titled Leave Your Leather On, in 2012 on Kemado Records. ~ James Christopher Monger
