In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. As a kid I remember watching music videos on television during the weekends and walking around the house making up my own songs and imagining I was in my very own video. I would create these songs in my head, so I wanted to create my own! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Basement, Promise Everything (Deluxe) Pierce the Veil, Collide With the Sky These are albums Teddie and I would listen to front and back when we started Yours Truly. They remind me of being super excited about music and the feelings it can create. It gave us so much fire to do the same. Tell us why you chose this song. “High Hopes” We think it's so special because we just sat down and wrote a song with no expectations, not trying to sound like anything. We were just hanging out and thought "why not?" What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Self Care was nominated for an Aria in 2021. We played our biggest Sydney headline in December 2022 in one of our dream venues. And also our set at Unify 2022 was also a huge moment for us with a big confetti ending at the end. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We really want to do our own North American Headline tour. Being Australian, playing shows overseas is huge in itself, but getting to play your own shows is a big achievement. A big dream of ours is to have a song in the game The Sims.
