The subject and star of the Canadian children's television show This Is Daniel Cook, Daniel Cook was born in 1997. The youngest person ever to be nominated for a Juno Award, Cook first appeared in the aforementioned series, a show about a kid who gets to visit interesting places, learn new skills, and interact in social situations with adults and other children his age. The show itself had ended by 2007 (although it did spawn a "sister" show entitled This Is Emily Yeung in 2006), but there was enough of a fan base that a CD (simply called This Is Daniel Cook: Here We Are!) was released. The album featured music from the show as well as the theme, and garnered Cook a nomination for Best Children's Recording in the 2008 Juno Awards.
