Some of my earliest musical memories come from growing up in the Canadian Punk Rock scene and playing shows with my old bands Indent and later Mugshot. Tell us why you chose this song. “The Lucky Ones” The Lucky Ones is the story of Edna McKenzie and Shorty Keays, the singer's grandparents, falling in love over the back drop of World War 2. Shorty Keays was a fiddle player and an Infantry soldier with the Queen's Own Rifles.
