Tallari

About Tallari

A widely admired group that works with the Folk Music Institute, Tallari's instrumental lineup is almost as diverse as its repertoire. Not only do they play the ubiquitous fiddle and kantele, but also such ancient instruments as the jouhikko (three-stringed lyre) and the birch bark. Tallari are committed to recovering and saving a huge range of traditional Finnish folk songs. ~ Leon Jackson
