In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up, one of my favorite toys I was privileged to have was a Fisher Price record player. My favorite record was this 45 of the Chicago Bears' "Super Bowl Shuffle," a la 1986. I wore that record out! What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Aphex Twin, Richard D. James Album Bill Evans Trio, Moon Beams (Remastered) Madvillain, Madvillainy These would be #2, #3, and #4 behind J Dilla's entire discography haha. I chose these three because each one completely shifted my perspective on musicality, creativity, and production at a very specific moment in my evolution. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tron-fungible (feat. Old Grape God)” This one is special because it's my first to hit streaming platforms. I've been releasing music since 2013 but it's taken me 10 years to embrace the current state of the music industry. Old Grape God is a legendary Portland MC, with 30+ albums. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It was special to be an original member of my brother's band, Ghost-Note (Nate Werth, Robert "Sput" Searight, Mono Neon), and play a part in the early stages of their musical vision. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? This art form is where I find my purpose! I do this strictly for the love. I'd love to continue collaborating with artists that inspire me, and to continue experiencing/learning from the cultures of the world through this musical journey.
