In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Getting my first ever guitar at 8 years old and learning two chords on it... I learned E and A. After playing around with them and learning how to change from one to the other, I didn't waste a second and began writing songs immediately. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? LANY, LANY Nirvana, Nevermind The 1975, The 1975 (Deluxe Edition) Kurt was probably my biggest inspiration growing up and made me realize rules were meant to be broken, and nothing else matters as long as I'm being true to myself. The 1975 really pulled me into wanting to make pop and LANY changed the way I write Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Jacket” This song was never meant to be released. I wrote it and loved it since its inception but my producers and band members never wanted to release it. After a year I decided if it spoke to me it might speak to more people and now it became my main hit. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening up for Carlos Sadness and playing for about 600 people. I remember seeing their unimpressed faces as I walked on stage, as they were expecting a boring act. Watching as the energy shifted and knowing I made them all change their minds aboutme Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I consider myself to be pretty ambitious and I know aiming higher always motivates me to work harder. I want to be able to play outside my home country (I'm from Costa Rica), play a big festival, and surpass 1M streams on one of my releases
