In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I was 5 years old in Hemlock, one of the Finger Lakes of upstate NY, when a new neighbor moved in next door, G. Elwyn Meixner. He had a jugband, The Wilderness Family. Banjo, accordion, upright bass, washboard - they would practice in my driveway!
