Palaver Strings of Portland, Maine, is a community outreach-driven nonprofit ensemble focusing on teaching opportunities as well as performances. Since the late 2010s, the group has operated its own Palaver Music Center, an educational institution serving more than 300 students a year. Palaver Strings has toured widely in the U.S. and has held several residencies. The group presents more than 40 concerts annually, which include creative collaborations, community-oriented events, and an emphasis on musical diversity. Palaver Strings released its debut album, Ready or Not, in 2022.
