A product of London's D.I.Y. scene of the 2010s, this urgent and politically minded post-punk revival quartet was formed in 2014 by friends and housemates who had known one another since their Brighton school days. In 2017, Italia 90 self-released an eponymously titled debut EP of concise, traditional late-'70s punk-inspired pieces. 2018's "Tourist Estate" and "New Factory" both appeared on that year's Italia 90 II EP. The following year's singles, "An Episode" and "Road to Hell," received national airplay on BBC 6Music and were featured on a third EP. The band's debut album, Living Human Treasure, arrived in 2023 and included reworkings of the EP tracks "Competition" and "New Factory" alongside fresh material.
