Johnny Mafia are a French garage punk band who deliver tuneful, muscular music that cheerfully blurs the lines between hooky pop and full-on guitar-fueled rock. While clearly owing a debt to the sound and fury of acts like the Clash and the Ramones, they have a keen sense of humor and a range of influences that runs from T. Rex to the Pixies. The band broke out of the French punk underground with the release of their first full-length album, 2018's raucous Princes De L'amour, and they added some additional polish to their music on 2021's Sentimental.
