In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Tahskezar was serendipitously formed whilst jamming Andalusian and Russian folk songs at a London house party in 2014. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Albaitil Ashwai, Nuun Balamuc, Tarkabarka Kahareb, Malhamet Debba Kahareb are original, surreal and heartfelt all that the same time - sheer joy. Albait Alashwai combine psychedelic rock, Arab folk, and reggae, into a trance-inducing delight. And Balamuc bring wonderful energy to our fave Eastern European classics Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Tannura” This was the first original we wrote together, and the whole process was magical - it all just came together and flowed so easily. It definitely pushed us to write more, especially when the crowd went wild the first time we played it live! What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Touring Egypt was absolutely amazing - we had some of our most high-energy gigs ever there! Purbeck Valley Folk Festival is another favourite, it's a real musicians' festival and the crowd is always brilliant.
