In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. When I was 4 or 5 I used to make up songs and sing them to the flowers. The flowers were extremely kind and didn't say a word. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Academy of Ancient Music, Choir of Christ Church Cathedral, Oxford, Christopher Hogwood, Handel: Messiah, HWV 56 (Remastered 2014) PJ Harvey, Let England Shake Sufjan Stevens, Carrie & Lowell These three albums lift me out of my skin, into the ether and beyond. They manage to communicate this great joy tinged with melancholy which is ultimately our human condition. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Silence” I wrote the lyrics to Silence whilst watching the snow fall. The song, to me, was about the transition from childhood into adulthood when innocence (silence) is lost as we enter a world dominated by language and structure. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Picking up Jonathan Coe's new book "Bournville" (which is brilliant) and seeing "Silence" mentioned in the author's notes in a very touching way. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Lots but primarily to play live electronics with an orchestra and possibly a choir
