Francesca Leonardi

The first Italian pianist signed to the Deutsche Grammophon label, Francesca Leonardi has appeared internationally as a recitalist, concerto soloist, and chamber player. She is also active as an educator. Her playing was heard on the soundtrack of the 2008 film The Beautiful Truth. In 2014, she made her debut on Deutsche Grammophon, backing violinist Francesca Dego on the first volume of what became a complete cycle of Beethoven's violin sonatas. The pair also released the album Suite Italienne on Deutsche Grammophon in 2018. Leonardi and Dego moved to the Chandos label for a pair of recordings of Mozart's violin concertos and violin sonatas, released in 2021 and 2022.
