L-Gante

Breaking the mould with a fusion of cumbia and reggaeton sounds, Argentinian rapper L-Gante (a spin on "elegante," or elegant) exploded into the Latin mainstream during the early 2020s. Born in April 2000 in Buenos Aires, the rapper began producing music in his early teens, joining close collaborator DT.Bilardo for early singles like 2017's "A Escondidas." In late 2020, he catapulted himself to mainstream success with "L-GANTE RKT," a Papu DJ-produced track that brought the RKT genre to an audience of over 200 million streams. Upping his work pace through late 2020 and early 2021, he scored impressive streaming numbers on subsequent singles before having a second career-defining hit with "L-Gante: BZRP Music Sessions #38," a Bizarrap collaboration which garnered 200 million streams.
