With a promise to “spit fire to da the mic from day one,” Afro-dancehall singer-songwriter Ruger broke out in 2021 with the energetic PANDEMIC EP, and he kept his word with a fiery sophomore EP, The Second Wave. For Oshe Naija, he lists the songs that help him find new inspiration in the quieter moments, featuring sounds from Iyanya, Paul Play, Chuddy K, Raebel, Reminisce, Faze, Brymo and more. “These songs are very timeless and they speak to me everytime,” Ruger tells Apple Music. “Whenever I’m tired of the noise around, I just go back and get new inspiration from them.”
