L.A.-based producer Khalil Abdul-Rahman's knack for polished, cinematic hip-hop beats caught the ear of Dr. Dre, whose Aftermath Records released many of DJ Khalil's tracks for 50 Cent and Eminem. His wide arsenal of sounds, like the rumbling percussion and guitar stabs of Clipse's “Kinda Like a Big Deal” or the stuttering synths of 50 Cent's “I'll Still Kill”, has kept his works sounding fresh.
