History of Juju, Vol. 3

In the '70s, a group of now-legendary artists brought juju to the world and became huge stars. Musicians such as King Sunny Ade and Ebenezer Obey broke from the traditions of juju, incorporating new musical elements for a more popular global sound. Ade brought slide guitar into the mix and Obey turned to electric bass and additional Yoruban drums for more dynamic rhythms.
