Awesome Tapes From Africa is a record label, DJ project and world-renowned blog that has been making available surprising music by legendary and left-field artists for more than 10 years. Label artists include Nahawa Doumbia, Dur-Dur Band, Ata Kak, Hailu Mergia and Penny Penny. For more than ten years, Awesome Tapes From Africa has been spreading African music across the web by way of the ATFA blog. In 2011, ATFA became a record label and has been reissuing surprising music by legendary and left-field artists, with 50/50 profit-sharing deals and, where possible, performance opportunities among major festivals, clubs and theaters worldwide.
