World music band Zebula Avenue were formed by its leader, singer/songwriter/guitarist Gail Baker, under the name 47UMa in Detroit, MI, in 1996. The group went through various configurations and released a self-titled debut album in 2002 before evolving into Zebula Avenue, with a lineup that included singers Maureen Honoré and Maggie McCabe, guitarist James Niemi, bassist Greg Nance, drummer Sandy Lovely, and percussionist Mahindi Masai. Zebula Avenue released Life Will Be Fine on Megawave Records on August 21, 2007. ~ William Ruhlmann
