Formerly known as Idle Hands, Unto Others is a West Coast goth-metal outfit that also traffics in elements of old-school heavy metal, new wave, and post-punk. Emerging in 2017, the band issued their debut EP, Don't Waste Your Time, in 2018, shortly after inking a deal with Germany-based Eisenwald Records. Mana, their first full-length effort, appeared the following year. An extension of their debut EP, Don't Waste Your Time II arrived in 2020, as did the announcement that they would be adopting the moniker Unto Others in light of a trademark issue concerning the name Idle Hands. The following year saw Unto Others sign to Roadrunner and unveil three new singles.
