At age nine, Sophia Anne Caruso was cast as Helen Keller in Patty Duke’s stage production of The Miracle Worker. ∙ In 2014, she starred in the Kennedy Center’s world premiere of Little Dancer. ∙ In 2015, she worked with longtime influence David Bowie in his off-Broadway musical Lazarus. ∙ Her performance as Michael C. Hall’s muse in Lazarus earned her multiple award nominations. ∙ Starring in the Broadway reboot of Beetlejuice, she reimagined the character of Lydia Deetz from Tim Burton’s acclaimed film. ∙ Her performance in Beetlejuice earned rave reviews, while the show was nominated for eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical. ∙ In 2020, she collaborated on her debut single, “Toys,” with Empire of the Sun cofounder Nick Littlemore and Lazarus musical director Henry Hey.
