About Lennon & Maisy

The singer/songwriter duo Lennon & Maisy comprise sisters Lennon Ray Stella (born August 13, 1999) and Maisy Jude Stella (born December 13, 2003), both of whom were born in Oshawa, Ontario. The daughters of Brad and Marylynne Stella, who perform together as the Stellas, the duo began by posting videos of their performances, and took off when their cover of Robyn's "Call Your Girlfriend" went viral on YouTube. They came to the wider public's attention as part of the cast in the ABC television series Nashville, which debuted in 2012. They soon became one of the performing highlights of the show's storyline, and appeared on both volumes of the show's soundtrack in 2013. Lennon & Maisy have also performed on multiple television programs including Good Morning America and The View. The girls continued to act as series regulars on Nashville, and released a string of popular singles, including covers of the Lumineers' "Ho Hey," Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros' "That's What's Up," and Charli XCX's "Boom Clap." They also produced a children's book, In the Waves (based on their song of the same name). ~ Steve Leggett
