About Kenneth Hugh

In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember hiding under my duvet listening to Radio 5 with headphones when Barney Simon played Megadeth - Symphony of Destruction. I was blown away and from that day I wanted to play a musical instrument. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dream Theater, Images and Words Joe Satriani, Surfing with the Alien Remastered Van Halen, Van Halen Remastered Van Halen was incredibly creative and really personified joy when playing. Images and Words had amazing story telling and Surfing with the Alien inspired me to play instrumental music. Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Maverick Spitfire (Rewired)” Maverick Spitfire was the name of my dog. He was a legend and a true Maverick. Never moaned and strong as an ox. After years together he left us and when I came home from the vet this track poured out. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The three day tour in KZN with other South African bands is one of my favourite memories. First time I have been on the road and the bands I was with really welcomed me. The audiences were all great as well. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Playing to sold out stadiums is something I have always dreamed about. Connecting with people personally.
