About Jeff Lynn

After joining the Move and leading the Electric Light Orchestra during the 1970s, singer/guitarist Jeff Lynne forged a successful career as a producer, with his distinctive sound gracing latter-day records by veteran rock & roll legends including George Harrison, Brian Wilson, and Randy Newman. In the late '80s and into the '90s Lynne participated in the Traveling Wilburys and released his first solo album, Armchair Theatre. Having won the rights to the Electric Light Orchestra name in court, Lynne released Zoom under the ELO moniker in 2001. After more production work, Lynne turned to his own recordings, returning to action in 2012 with Mr. Blue Sky, a collection of re-recorded ELO songs, and Long Wave, a collection of covers of '50s and '60s pop hits.
