In the artist’s words: Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember being in the choir at school, and we were asked to perform a solo. I can't remember the song I chose, but people enjoyed it, and this was the start of my journey. I joined the Drakensberg Boys Choir shortly after & the rest is history. What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Elevation Worship, Graves into Gardens (Live) Elevation Worship, Maverick City Music, Old Church Basement Phil Wickham, Hymn Of Heaven (Acoustic Sessions) Elevation's last few albums have been so powerful and inviting into the presence of God, and have moved me so much. Phil's acoustic release of Hymn of Heaven is just so intimate and beautiful, perfect to sing along to in your secret place with God. Tell us why you chose this song. “Do You Still Love Me” I was still fresh from dealing with a night of real disappointment in my service to God. I felt I didn't serve with the excellence He deserves. As I was writing my heart to God, He reminded me that nothing could ever separate me from His love. What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Performing for Nelson Mandela at the opening of the ICC in Durban with the Drakensberg Boys Choir was pretty special. He danced along in his classic style, which was amazing. He was such an inspiration, and it was an honour to perform for him. Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Just starting out there are so many, but the single most important thing I hope to achieve is to bring people closer to Jesus through my music, and I hope that everyone who listens to my songs encounters Jesus in a special way.
