About Electric Looking Glass
Living out their obsession with the precise moment in 1967 when beat groups went psychedelic, this 2018-formed L.A. baroque pop quartet draw inspiration both musically and image-wise from acts such as the Hollies, the Monkees, and the Left Banke. In 2019, their debut double A-side 7" featured Danny Winebarger's lead vocals on "Death of a Season," while the flip, "Someday Soon," was fronted by Brent Randall. Next, 2020's Kinks-inspired "Dream a Dream" was sung by Arash Mafi, further establishing the notion that Electric Looking Glass was a shared trip, rather than one member's journey. After their 2021 debut album, Somewhere Flowers Grow, Randall and drummer Johnny Toomey turned their attention to a bedroom pop project named Vanity Mirror.
