On his fourth release, Kwiish SA returns with a fusion between the organic, percussive and electronic. Offering mellow instrumentals courtesy of Bongane Sax and Jay Sax on “Night & Day” and “God Bless the Child”, respectively, the pioneering producer fuses jazzy rhythms with amapiano staples in logdrums, synths and melodic basslines. As saxophones and keys float across midtempo beats, the spirited rhythms of the Zaza-assisted “Sbongu Mdali” meet the infectious refrains of Moscow & Ch’cco’s “Skyf Moment” and Swati crooner Sands’ Afropop-inspired “Suluka Nabo”.
