The End of the Bar (feat. Jedd Kossew)
Alternative rock outfit Lost&Found’s self-titled, SAMA-nominated debut was widely praised for its acoustic, country-tinged undertones and real-life lyrics. The Cape Town duo’s follow-up Snakes and Ladders veers towards a bigger, more anthemic rock sound, burnished by polished production and airtight harmonies. Vocalist Glen Hodgson and drummer Jason Oosthuizen, whose pedigrees include stints with The Parlotones and Van Coke Kartel, stud the tracks with unexpectedly gorgeous elements—such as a subtle string arrangement on “I Only” and a raw, heartfelt piano line on “Stop Me”—but the duo deliver the rock ‘n’ roll goods on “Money Hungry”, with its swoops of electric guitar and a pulse-pounding blast of percussion.
