The Black Cat Bones’ third offering, Beatipiller, is the little indie album that could, earning a Best Rock Album nomination at the 2014 SAMA Awards. Pretoria's band of motley blues rockers earned their seat by travelling from town to town, conquering audiences all over the country with one wild and filthy guitar solo at a time. Here, emotive frontman and storyteller Kobus de Kock Jr. wails his way through 12 tracks seemingly inspired by the New Orleans bayou, or the bottom of a broken whiskey bottle.
