The Stone Roses Essentials

The Stone Roses defined an era in UK rock populated by larger-than-life bands. The swaggering bad boys of the '80s Madchester scene fused strutting acid-house beats with jangling indie guitars on “Fool's Gold” and “Elephant Stone”, while Ian Brown's street poetry and Mani's baggy, funk-touched bass laced the psych-influenced atmospherics of “I Wanna Be Adored” and “Waterfall”. Their reunion, decades later and to huge public acclaim, has ratified the Roses' standing among rock's greatest.
