Sharing a knack for sun-kissed harmonies distilling reggae, pop and MPB, siblings Rodrigo, Gabriela and Diogo Melim rocketed to the top seemingly overnight. Alternating between guitars, keyboards and cavaquinho, Melim has captured the essence of the Brazilian spirit in their self-titled 2018 debut with laidback, feel-good melodies which include viral hits like the summer hymn “Meu Abrigo”. Collabs with major stars follow, including a reggae-pop single with Anitta and a sunny anthem with Ivete Sangalo, while a joint release with Cariocas Suricato saw Melim spread into roots rock.
