Joss Stone Essentials

Released when she was just 16, Joss Stone's 2003 debut, The Soul Sessions, heralded the arrival of one of the world's most captivating new voices. Comprising covers of soul classics, the album went on to sell five million copies worldwide, vaulting Stone to international stardom. With a powerhouse voice that recalls legends like Aretha Franklin and Etta James, Stone proved herself a capable songwriter as well, penning most of the material on albums like 2007's Introducing Joss Stone and 2011's LP1. In 2012, she released The Soul Sessions Vol. 2, another helping of spot-on covers.
