Frank Sinatra: Live

Frank Sinatra: Live

In the studio, Frank Sinatra sounded like velvet. Onstage, he sounded like, well, velvet still. These live cuts, which span the mid-'50s to the mid-'90s, show the singer romancing amid strings (as on "Moonlight In Vermont") and swinging to jazz horns (as when The Rat Pack kicks around "Please Be Kind"). But most of all, he's entertaining, drawing not just swoons but also laughs with song introductions full of cheekiness and irony.
