Thai rock legends Carabao have been making music close to people's hearts for 30 years. Born from protest songs and the political upheavals of the '70s, the band is loved for their politically driven songs that fuse Thai music with Western rock and country. State media may have banned their music for its criticisms of authority and corruption, but this hasn't affected their popularity. In 2013, their legacy was honoured with a gig by their key musical influence, Santana, as well as a week-long TV series dramatising memorable characters from their songs.
