Rio Romeo

Singer, songwriter, and artist Rio Romeo makes fiery piano-based alt pop with cabaret flair and strong LGBTQ+ messages. Based in Pomona, California, they incorporate elements of musical theater and D.I.Y. punk into their songs, which often cover social issues, dating, activism, and commentary on their own lifestyle. Tracks like 2021's "Butch 4 Butch" and "Missus Piano" have been widely embraced on social media, setting up demand for Romeo's 2022 EP Good God! and its breakout single "Nothing's New." Following 2023's romantic Valentine EP, they released "Everyday Is the Best Day of My Life," the title track from their debut album.
