About Patti Page

American popular singer Patti Page was the biggest selling female artist of the '50s. Her total sales are estimated to be in excess of 60 million. Page scored her first hit in 1948 with "Confess," on which she overdubbed her own voice to create the sound of a vocal group. In 1949, she repeated the effect on her first million-seller, "With My Eyes Wide Open I’m Dreaming." The hits continued throughout the '50s and early-60s, most notably "Tennessee Waltz" and "How Much Is That Doggie in the Window?" Over the years, Page remained a hugely popular live act and, in 1998, she won a Grammy for the album LIVE AT CARNEGIE HALL-THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY CONCERT.
