About Ginger Root
Indie soul outfit Ginger Root is the solo project of singer/multi-instrumentalist Cameron Lew, who makes throwback R&B, disco, and pop. Ginger Root debuted with 2017's Spotlight People, followed by 2018's Mahjong Room and 2020's Rikki. Along with his ongoing Toaster Music covers series, Lew has drawn upon his love of '80s Japanese city pop, as on 2021's City Slicker and 2022's Nisemono.
