Best known as one-half of the platinum-selling feel-good pop duo Surfaces, Forrest Frank releases equally breezy music under the name Forrest. • Forrest Frank grew up in the greater Houston area. While attending Baylor University in Waco, he met fellow Texas musician Colin Padalecki and began collaborating. They released Surf, their first album as Surfaces, in 2017. • Surfaces’ second album, 2019’s Where the Light Is, features “Sunday Best”, which became a massive hit on TikTok and went platinum in 2020. That same year, Surfaces partnered with Elton John on the single “Learn to Fly”. • Forrest. has been releasing solo music since before he was in Surfaces. In 2018, as Surfaces was taking off, Forrest. teamed up with producer Biskwiq for the album Warm. • His 2020 solo album Effortless resulted from an eight-day trip with friends to the Northern California coast.
